Family

Simple dinner with my beloved mother
I had a simple dinner with my mother not long ago. It has been a long time since we last had a meal together due to her busyness. Though the dinner isn't long, i had spend a great time with her. - Not to take generation gap as an excuse for all the problems that we faced when our parents scold us. When we don't spend enough time with them.

Uniquely ITE

Singing session with classmates
I went for a singing session at Cathay's KBox, together with Abigail, Chuanya, Sarah, Jesslyn and Justin first. Ernest, Weiching, Szemin and Casandra will join us later. We sang quite a number of songs, but majority of the songs were mostly sang by Justin. It is because he had one microphone to himself. After 3 hours of singing, we went off to Somerset 313, had some window shopping at Mango and Forever 21. After that, we went to Far East Plaza, to visit Jingyi and to continue our window shopping. However, along the way, we had conversations which i lent my listening ears, i felt that being able to be one's listening ear is good. Because one wouldn't keep tormenting himself/herself by keeping so many things inside their heart. We had dinner together at around 8 p.m. We had more talks which let us know each other more. Overall, it's wonderful day being able to spend together.

1. Your expectations:

- Everything. From singing to shopping, shopping to having dinner together.

3. Your reflection:
A) What challenges you overcame.
- As there were odd number of people, one person will be left out. So, must not let anyone feel this way.

B) What do failures and successes mean.
- Success comes when you preserve to the end though there are countless failures that you encounter.

C) What life skills have you learnt from the activity.
- Being able to be a listening ear to others.

D) In which ways have you become a better person.
- Talk less, listen more.

Physical

An awesome day with friends
I went to East Coast Park for barbecue with my Church friends. It was a zone event, and there were many people who went for that barbecue session. We played a number of games there before the barbecue start. The games were fun and thrilling, which made everyone bond with each other more. We spent quite some time getting the fire started as the wind was strong due to the surrounding. I went to help out in barbecuing the chicken wings, otahs and satays. We had a mini concert by the sea. It was cooling and the mini concert lasted for an hour. It was a successful concert which many of us enjoyed as we sang along together with the singers. Not long later, we went home as it was about 11 p.m.

Game leaders briefing about how to play the games.

Helped out with the barbecuing.

Enjoying the mini concert.

1. Your expectations:
A) Why you chose to do that activity.
- As we spend time bonding with each other, getting to know each other more. We'll be able to stand strong together as one and go through thick and thin together regardless of any obstacle.

B) What you felt mattered in that activity.
- Bondage and teamwork is very important as a house which is divided by itself cannot stand.

2. Highlights:
What you enjoyed most in that activity.
- The mini concert, because it was really amazing to hear some of our friends performing. Using their voices, they'll be a comforter to their friends, be able to touch others' lives.

3. Your reflection:
A) What challenges you overcame.
- Trying to start the fire due to the strong wind. No matter how many times we tried to start it, the fire won't be big, or it will be extinguish. We persevere and finally, after countless times, we finally succeed.

B) What do failures and successes mean.
- Failures are those trails whereby can lead you to success. For me, failures are just levels and stages which will get us one more step closer towards our goal, our success.

C) What life skills have you learnt from the activity.
- Trust is very important for a big group of people to get together. In order not to let misunderstandings, arguments, gossips to arise, we got to trust each other. And do the best that we can to protect each other's privacy.

D) In which ways have you become a better person.
- Being able to talk wisely, not hurting the person who i am talking to, regardless of the topic of the conversation. Of course, not breaking the trust that one has trusted me. Being able to be the peacemaker, solving arguments and make peace with each other.

Happy Fathers' Day! (:
Wishing all Daddy a Happy Fathers' Day. :D

Happy Fathers' Day to my Dad! :D
Daddy, woots, i know you're happy now.
Because i'm wishing you a happy fathers' day, which i won't say every year.
Now, i'm saying it. But it's too late. ):

Today is not only Fathers' Day, it also marks you leaving us for 7 months.
I miss you, ))))))))))))):
When someone or something, precious to us, leaves us, we'll tend to regret.
And till that time, it's all too late.
I've regretted for not cherishing the times that we had together, till the time that you left.
I still briefly remember the times that we spend together.
Though it's a short period of years out of my 17 years of age, before you passed on.
Dad, i want you to know that you're being loved by me, this daughter of yours! (:
I know that this is late, but i just want you to know that you're the greatest Dad that i have! (:
No matter how many sacrifices that you've made for us, money that you've earned just for us, gifts and angbaos that you've given to us, etc.
Dad, i just want to thank you for all the things that you've done! Just for me, Joyce and this family.
Words couldn't expressed how much i love you, how much i miss you, appreciate you for all the things that you've done for us, and so much more.
Last of all, Dad, i love you! (:

I don't like feeling this way.
It's awful.

I don't like to be like this.
Moodless, not in good mood.
Sorry to those who i've talked to coldly.

Monday, 22 February 2010

20 February is the third month, since Daddy has left.
Wow, it's like so fast lahs.
Boom! 100 days is over.
I felt that i am a unfilial daughter.
Because i never visit daddy for these three months.
How unfilial i am.
Sigh.

His urn is located somewhere at Chua Chu Kang, but CCK is so big.
How do i know where is it?
Sigh, somehow i miss him.
Always happy go lucky, don't want to think of it.
Putting it behind my mind, but there's still a point of time..
I'll began to sit there or lay there, thinking about it.
Sigh, reality is so cruel.
But it's also good for Daddy luhs, holding on for so long, enduring all those pain, eating so many types of medication, etc.

I'm both happy and sad that he has left.
Happy is because he's free from these pain.
Sad is because afterall, he's still my dad. One of my family, loved ones.
I'm going to remember what he has done for me when he's around, and he's a wonderful dad that i had! (:

Okay, i shall stop already, if not my tap is opening soon. AHHHHH!
